As protesters flocked to Tahrir Square on November 25th to take part in the “Last Chance” friday, SCAF gave orders to ex-Prime Minister Kamal El Ganzouri to form a new Cabinet after it accepted the resignation of Essam Sharaf and his ministers.
El Ganzouri appeared in a press conference to tell people that Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi told him in person he does not wish to stay in power and asked for some time to form a cabinet that is acceptable to everyone.
The response to EL Ganzouri’s appointment came when protesters headed to Cabinet street off Kasr El Ainy and occupied the street, beginning a sit-in there and vowing that El Ganzouri would not have access to The Cabinet.
By Morning news came that another martyr fell near the Cabinet sit-in. Official statement from the Ministry of Interior admitted that a CSF truck ran over 19-year old Ahmed El Sayed Sorour after CSF trucks that were heading to the Ministry of Interior to begin working shifts were attacked by Molotov cocktails and rocks from Protesters near the Cabinet sit-in. Tweeps who stayed over at the Cabinet sit-in confirmed that Ahmed was indeed run over but say that CSF were there on purpose and were intending to attack the sit-in.
